Ethically Sourced
All of our mohair is sourced directly from our family farm, where our Angora goats enjoy lush, rotationally grazed pastures and abundant fresh water. The goats always have access to shelter, including a spacious barn for the winter months. Shearing is performed by our own experienced farmers to ensure the process is as gentle and stress-free as possible.
Locally Processed
Every stage of our production process—from fleece to finished yarn—takes place entirely within the United States. We are committed to creating yarn that is minimally processed in order to preserve the natural character of the fiber. As a result, you may occasionally find small amounts of vegetable matter in the yarn. Many commercially prepared yarns undergo a process known as carbonization, which uses sulfuric acid to remove such material. While effective, this treatment can alter the structure of the fiber—something we intentionally avoid.
Hand Dyed
Each skein is hand-dyed by the farmer’s daughter (that’s me), using professional-grade dyes specifically formulated for protein fibers. This ensures rich, lasting color while maintaining the integrity of the yarn.
